Spent Xmas at this hotel and had a great time! the location was perfect, right in the heart of the city with a stunning view of the market and a nearby famous attraction. the room was spacious and sumptuous, and the staff was top-notch, making us feel like royalty. Plus, the breakfast was delicious, offering us a traditional continental breakfast with mixed meats. We also appreciated the friendly and professional service of the staff.

The hotel location is the second best place to stay in Cologne. First being the cathedral itself. Hotel staff was very nice and professional. They took great care in our needs (they gave us a larger room to be more comfortable with our 1 yr old son and helped warming his food and all). Very recommended.
Not very clear how to reach the hotel by car. they should add some signs telling to drive in the pedestrian area, or even better have a small space to unload the baggage not in the pedestrian area.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, with a fine view of the market and cathedral from our spacious room. The cleanliness of the hotel was excellent, and the facilities provided were great. We really appreciated the convenient parking and the easy transportation options available, making it easy for us to explore all the sites we wanted to see in this city.
Nothing not to love.

The location next to the Dom and the history surrounding the hotel.
There are some renovations going on and some items could be improved in that regard. There was door/hallway to the right of the reception desk that was taped over with plastic. That looked cheap for such a nice hotel. Similarly, on the fourth floor there was some type of cable wiring hanging next to the main hallway door.

Great location next to Cologne's famous cathedral and close to my business meeting. The room was tidy and comfortable, with a beautiful view of the city. The staff were friendly and accommodating, always ready to help.
I opted to go out for breakfast instead. Another downside was the lack of variety in the hotel's amenities and services - it seemed to cater more towards leisure travelers than business ones.

The Dom Hotel is positioned next to the Dom Catherdral , the main shopping centre and a 3 minute walk to the Rhine with all the restaurants. Cologne is a fantastic city for a 5 day break. The German Baur haus pub restraunts offer good local food at good prices. I have visited Cologne many times and always start at the Dom Hotel Le Meridien . Breakfast is pricey for what you atcually eat , but can get a good breakfast in the cafe shops along the shopping centre.
Did not have the breakfast as pricey for what I actual eat for breakfast. Have coffee and cereal or roll in cafe shops along the shopping centre.

Top location, the best (Location) you can get in Koeln.
Hotel and equipment really old and in bad condition, it is in renovation though. The room was small although I was upgraded. The bed was the biggest problem, hard like a stone... This facility is definitely not up to Le Meridien's reputation. But pricewise it is 300 Euros (420usd)

Good location, staff very helpful.
Disapointed with breakfast so only used it once. At 28e a head I did not expect the food selection to have run out half an hour before the restaurant closed. No bacon, mushrooms or Rattatouee left. Also supprised that there was no cold meat or fish selection that I could see. Bar small and cramped at busy times.

We splurged for the cathedral view room and it was well worth it - beautiful! Room was spacious, bathroom was nice and bed was comfortable.

Comfort and willingness of staff to oblige. Almost all the staff had a good or working knowledge of English. Both my wife and myself are of advanced years and have difficulty walking. Taxi drivers were not happy to take fares from the hotel to the nearby Hauptbahnhof, but the porter willingly volunteered to carry our luggage there for us. A very nice touch at the end of our stay.

Located in the center, few steps trom Dom. Size of the room is ok.
The smell. Smells like dead rats. But, also this smell is on the street. Wanted to take a bath, waited about 20 minutes and bath still was emty! The water flow was very slow.
